AKTION FEINOPTIK!

The AKTION FEINOPTIK! initiative is designed to get young people interested in the profession of precision optician. A number of campaigns and events in the region have already been successfully launched.

Finding applicants for precision optician trainees has become more tense during the last couple of years. Many companies that take on trainees already rate the situation as very critical. In order to get young people interested in the occupation as precision optician, training companies, the Werner-von-Siemens-Schule Wetzlar, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Lahn-Dill (IHK), the Wetzlar Network, and the Federal German Agency for Employment have joined forces. The initiative, “AKTION FEINOPTIK!“ first attracted some attention at the student and careers fair in Wetzlar’s Stadthalle (see picture).

On October 5th and 6th, the precision optics campaign was presented in the context of the festival of natural sciences and technology at the Werner-von-Siemens-Schule Wetzlar. A targeted promotion campaign took place at the Optatec fair in Frankfurt am Main (October 18th to 20th, 2022). “Future requires new talent”, says Ralf Niggemann, Manager of the Wetzlar Network. “And it requires the individual willingness and the commitment of the industry to advocate for the job training. Therefore, we want to invite all companies to help give shape to AKTION FEINOPTIK!”
