The teams of RSV Lahn-Dill have achieved everything in wheelchair basketball. Counting their national and international championship titles requires at least six hands.
Wheelchair basketball is “the most spectacular game on wheels”, tells the website of RSV Lahn-Dill. Even more spectacular is the club’s success story. 13 times the premier league team won the German Championship and 13 times the National Cup. Furthermore the men’s team from Wetzlar won the European Champions League six times. Among the male and female players of RSV Lahn-Dill are Paralympics champions as well as World Cup and European Cup champions.
When the premier league team of RSV Lahn-Dill played its first match at the Rittal Arena Wetzlar in November 2009, they counted a world record of 3,900 visitors. The club’s sympathy and support in the region is as big as the international recognition. Founded in 1983, RSV Lahn-Dill has emerged within short time to a highly acknowledged club in Europe.
